Carnivores in human settlements: a new and different way to address the Middle Palaeolithic record
SCAVENGERS involves conducting experiments to observe the behaviors of diverse wild carnivores, such as hyenas, bears, wolves, and smaller carnivores, in replicated Neanderthal campsites.
The SCAVENGERS project seeks to explore the impact of carnivores on prehistoric campsites, aiming to gain insights into the patterns of human settlement in the different periods.
